NOVEMBER

November 11, 2017 - Walk4ALZ
In partnership with Alzheimer's Orange County (AOC), the Angels will host the Walk4ALZ at Angel Stadium. This fundraising walk supports our community and raises awareness for Alzheimer's and dementia. 100% of the funds raised stay in Orange County to support AOC's complimentary programs and services for those affected by the disease. DECEMBER

December 3, 2017, 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. & December 4, 2017, 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. - Halo Holiday Photo
Guests are invited to bring new, unwrapped toys valued at $10 or more to the Angels Baseball Foundation, Kids Holiday Party. Participants will have the opportunity to take a photo in the Angels Clubhouse with Santa and Angels Strike Force members. Guests will enter through the Home Plate Gate and drop off toys in the Clubhouse Lobby. All toys should be for children ages 10 and over and participants are required to bring their own camera.

December 13, 2017 - Angels Baseball Foundation Children's Holiday Party at ESPN Zone
Each year, the Angels Baseball Foundation aims to make the holiday season brighter for more than 250 underprivileged kids by hosting a Holiday Party. The Angels have partnered with AM830 to hold the event at ESPN Zone in Anaheim. The ESPN Zone generously donates the use of its facility, food, and free video arcade games to all children in attendance. At the end of the night, each child receives a pair of pajamas and warm holiday wishes from the Angels.

APRIL

April 22, 2017 - Angels 5K & Fun Run + Health Expo
On Saturday, April 22nd the Angels host the 7th annual Angels 5K & Fun Run presented by St. Joseph Hoag Health. In years past, this event has raised over $105,000 for the Angels Baseball Foundation and their continuing efforts to improve the lives of children in our community. Participants have the opportunity to run or walk the race course, which goes through the stadium, behind home plate, and concludes in front of the Home Plate Gate. For the 2017 race, bubbles were added to parts of the course! Those who partake in the walk/run will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a medal upon completion. After the race, participants are invited to explore the Health Expo and pick up resources and goodies from various vendors.

MAY

May 14, 2017 - Mother's Day and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Day
The Angels are proud to partner with Major League Baseball and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation in their fight against breast cancer. Players, coaches and umpires throughout the league show their support for the cause on Mother's Day by wearing pink wristbands and ribbons on their uniforms. Players also have the opportunity to use pink bats, which are auctioned off to raise money in further support for this cause. The Angels and representatives from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation also honor breast cancer survivors and recognize the Honorary Bat Girl Winner chosen by fans through a League-wide contest during a pre-game ceremony.

May 15, 2017 - Water Awareness Night
The Anaheim City Council has proclaimed May as Water Awareness Month. For many years, Anaheim Public Utilities has sponsored a Water Conservation Poster Contest for all Anaheim students in first through eighth grade as a part of its Water Awareness Month campaign. Children participating in this contest help raise awareness about the importance of water conservation in the community through their artwork. The Angels honor the first, second and third place winners of the contest during a pre-game ceremony on May 15th. After the ceremony, the winners enjoy a night of baseball with their families and friends.

May 17, 2017 - Autism Awareness

May 20, 2017 - Readers in the Outfield
In a collaborative effort to promote the importance of literacy, the Angels Baseball Foundation and the Literacy Project Foundation have teamed up to create the "Readers in the Outfield" program. Over 100 second graders and their Master Teachers of Literacy will show off their reading skills by playing interactive games with Angels alumni.

May 29, 2017 - MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Finals at Angel Stadium
The Angels are pleased to host the local MLB Pitch, Hit & Run final competition at Angel Stadium. The MLB Pitch, Hit & Run is the official youth skills competition for Major League Baseball. Children ages 7 to 14 are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in three fundamental skills: pitching, hitting and running. The Angels honor the local winners of the MLB Pitch, Hit and Run competition during a pre-game ceremony on May 29th.

MLB Pitch, Hit and Run gives kids, nationwide, the opportunity to compete free of charge with the intent to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun of baseball. For more information, please visit mlb.com/phr.

May 30, 2017 - Recognizing the Angels Scholars
Entering its 12th year, the Angels honor the 2017 Angels Scholars class in a pre-game on-field ceremony. The Angels Baseball Foundation and the Orange County Department of Education recognize outstanding eighth graders based on their academic achievements, financial needs and enrollment in the college preparatory program, AVID. The Angels Baseball Foundation awards each Angels Scholar a partial scholarship upon his or her acceptance into a four-year university.

The eighth class of Angels Scholars will graduate from High School this year and will receive their scholarships once accepted into college, along with a new laptop generously donated by Toshiba.

June 16-17, 2017 - Christmas in June Toy Drive
The Angels will be holding a toy drive under the big red hats outside the stadium prior to the games on June 16th and 17th. Fans are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys for children 8 to 15 years old on their way into the game. Toys collected will be provided to children from area nonprofit organizations during the Kids Holiday Party in December hosted by the Angels Baseball Foundation. A ticket voucher to an Angel game will be given for the donation of each new toy with a minimum value of $10.

June 18, 2017 - MLB Prostate Cancer Awareness
Now entering its 20th year, the Angels and Major League Baseball continue the fight against prostate cancer by partnering with the Prostate Cancer Foundation. As a way to raise money for research to fight this disease, stadiums across the nation host events and participate in the Home Run Challenge, where people can pledge a donation for every home run hit in the week leading up to Father's Day.

June 29, 2017 - Angels Baseball Foundation Gold Ball Mystery Grab Bag
Visit the Home Plate Gate prior to the game to purchase a Gold Ball Mystery Grab Bag. Each bag contains a baseball autographed by an Angels player or Mike Scioscia. Twelve lucky fans who find their ball wrapped in gold paper will win four (4) tickets to an upcoming game and a chance to attend Batting Practice to meet the player who signed their ball. All proceeds go to the Angels Baseball Foundation.

July 12, 2017 - Back to School
Staff members from the Angels, Wal-Mart and the Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim distribute back-to-school items to over 500 kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim, Santa Ana, Tustin, Westminster, and the Harbor Area. Each child receives socks, underwear, a pair of pants, a shirt and a pair of shoes.

AUGUST

August 5 - Angel Wives and Anaheim Firefighters to "Fill the Boot"
Angel Wives and members of the Anaheim Firefighter's Association host their 6th annual "Fill the Boot" fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of Orange County and Riverside County. They collect cash and coin outside the gates of Angel Stadium and the Angel Wives and Anaheim Fire Department present the funds raised for the MDA during a pregame ceremony later in the season. September 23, 2017 - Light the Night
In partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Angels host the Light the Night Walk at Angel Stadium. This fundraising walk acts as a celebration and commemoration of the lives impacted by cancer. Participants carry illuminated balloons of different colors symbolizing how cancer has impacted their life. Cancer patients and survivors carry white balloons, supporters carry red balloons, and those walking in memory of a loved one who lost a battle to cancer carry gold balloons.
