What is the World Baseball Classic?
The World Baseball Classic is the world's premier international baseball tournament. It is held every four years and features the game's best players competing for their home countries and territories. Many of Major League Baseball's top players will compete in the 2013 World Basic Classic. The World Baseball Classic is to baseball what the World Cup is to soccer.
Who runs the World Baseball Classic and when did it start?
It was established in 2005 by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. The first two tournaments were held in 2006 and 2009.

Who participates in the 2013 World Baseball Classic?
Twenty-eight teams were eligible to participate in the 2013 World Baseball Classic. The tournament field has been narrowed to the following 16 teams: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain, USA and Venezuela.
How are Chase Field and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick involved in the World Baseball Classic?
Chase Field and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick will be the sites of First Round, Pool D World Baseball Classic games, featuring Canada, Italy, Mexico and USA.

First Round, Pool D games will be played at Chase Field on March 8, 9 & 10, 2013.
When will the World Baseball Classic be played at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick?
First Round, Pool D games will be played at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on March 7 & 8, 2013.
How do these games affect the Spring Training schedule?
Spring Training games and World Baseball Classic games will occur simultaneously with MLB players leaving Spring Training as needed to represent their country on a team participating in the Classic.
How will tickets to the World Baseball Classic at Chase Field and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick be made available to D-backs fans?
Just like Postseason and other MLB jewel events (All-Star Game, World Series), D-backs Season Ticket Holders will be given the first priority to purchase their same seats for Pool D games played at Chase Field and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
Will tickets be sold for individual games or as a strip?
Four-game Chase Field ticket strips and two-game Salt River Fields at Talking Stick ticket strips are on sale now. Individual games will go on sale on a date to be announced.
If I am a Season Ticket Holder and do not purchase my tickets when they are first released, will I be able to buy tickets at a later date?
We anticipate that there will be a limited number of tickets made available for sale to the general public. However, unlike the Season Ticket Holder tickets, these general public tickets will be dynamically priced.
