Teen Safe Driving Program

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Luis Gonzalez are proud to partner with Sanderson Ford and State Farm to ensure all teen drivers get home safe. Join the D-backs at Chase Field for the Safe Driving Rally on Saturday, May 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Sanderson Ford will be demonstrating car safety features including MyKey technology that helps parents encourage teens to drive responsibly. The "Start Team" will be onsite to demonstrate various safety and technology features.

MyKey technology allows parents to program unique driving modes for teens.

  • The Belt-Minder feature chimes every 30 seconds and the audio system is muted until the seat belt is buckled
  • The Top Speed setting allows four different settings - 65, 70, 75, or 80 mph
  • Radio stations labeled "explicit" can be blocked
  • Low-fuel warning provides a warning at 75 miles rather than the standard 50 miles
  • Radio volume can be limited to 44 percent of the total volume
  • Park Aid and Blind Spot Information Systems assist with parking and cross-traffic alert

State Farm will be onsite with safe driving tips to help all drivers get home safe. All fans are encouraged to take the Safe Driver Pledge and receive a free D-backs T-shirt.

State Farm reminds you to:

  • ALWAYS wear you seat belt
  • Stow your cell phone when behind the wheel
  • Don't drink and drive
  • Keep Two eyes on the road and two eyes on the wheel
  • Eliminate all distractions

Other community supporters will include MADD, SADD, Red Means Stop and others.
