Dennis Martinez
Dennis Martinez was born on May 14, 1955, in Granada, Nicaragua. Martinez was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 14, 1976, with the Baltimore Orioles. Dennis, also known as "El Presidente", won more games than any other Latin American pitcher, despite having less than 100 wins by the time he was 30 years old. Martinez pitched for 23 seasons, winning 26 games after the age of forty. On July 28, 1991, he tossed the 13th perfect game in major league history. He retired with 245 victories, including more than 100 in each league.
