More from the Front Office Insider

June 12, 2013:
SALTY, NAVA, JACOBY, NAPOLI - ALL-STARS??

While collectively, this Red Sox team has surprised a lot of pundits - holding the best record in the American League through the first 66 games - what's gone a bit overlooked in some circles are the individual performances of our guys. That's where we need your help to vote!

Can you make a case that Jacoby Ellsbury, leading the American League with 27 stolen bases, should make the All-Star Game? How about Mike Napoli who leads all AL first basemen with 15 doubles? Or did you realize that Jarrod Saltalamacchia trails only Joe Mauer among AL catchers in OPS (min. 150 at bats)? Or that Daniel Nava, who isn't even on the ballot (but should certainly be written-in!) leads ALL American League outfielders with a .394 on-base percentage!

We've got to get Red Sox Nation out in full-force supporting not only these guys, but Ortiz (who's leading in the DH spot), Pedroia (who currently trails Robinson Cano), and the rest of our guys. This year's team is definitely a "team" in the truest sense of the word, so we ought to vote for the whole team!

Good luck to the Bruins tonight!

PS - Big congratulations to Ryan Dempster, who earlier this week recorded his 2,000th career strikeout - one of only 5 active pitchers to reach that milestone.
