It's simple - we're helping Chicago's children.
Too many of our youth in underserved communities lack opportunities to help them succeed in school and in making healthy choices. Both Cubs Charities and the Wood Family Foundation are committed to reaching out to lend a hand. Together we can create a brighter future for Chicago's kids!

Wood Family Foundation Mission Statement
Begun in 2011 by Chicago Cubs pitcher, Kerry Wood and his wife, Sarah, the Wood Family Foundation (WFF) is an operating nonprofit that works to improve the lives of children in Chicago. Despite the curveballs that may come their way, every child should be given a chance in life, regardless of resources, opportunity or geography. All WFF programs and activities are based in the belief that a child's potential should never be underestimated, and that building long-standing relationships with children and their families is the best way to nurture that potential. That's why the Wood Family Foundation prides itself on providing support not just on a one-time basis, but through long-term relationships with kids and their communities, ensuring the consistency and emotional structure they need to succeed.

Cubs Charities Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide increased access to sports opportunities and target improvements in health, fitness and education for those at risk.
