Rosie Reds, Inc. is an organization formed in June 1964 when there was danger of the National League franchise being taken out of Cincinnati. It is limited to 3,000 members each calendar year. The Rosie Reds is a philanthropic as well as a social organization.
The Philanthropic Fund is supported by our dues, Annual Trip Raffle and other contributions. We take an annual Rosie Reds weekend trip to cheer on the Reds each year. Through the courtesy of Provident Travel Corporation, two trips for two people are raffled each year.
Baseball Endowments or Scholarships are awarded annually to nine area colleges: University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Miami University Oxford, University of Dayton, Northern Kentucky University, Miami University Hamilton, Thomas More College, Wilmington College and the Mount Saint Joseph University. Additionally, an award of $4,000 is given to the Powell Crosley Junior - Kid Glove Association. The Rosie Reds also support the Annual Kid Glove games held at Great American Ball Park.
Renewals of annual dues ($30 per year) are payable starting in December each year. Membership for new members begins on January 1st each year. If there is a waiting list, the applications will be processed in the order in which they are received, as openings occur.
Dues cover the cost of our printing, mailings, prizes, souvenirs and administrative fees. Members are mailed notices of all events with order forms for each event. These are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Each Rosie member can order two complimentary tickets, for the annual Guest of the Reds game as chosen by the Reds organization.
New members are welcome, but there are limited spots available so be sure to get your dues in early during the year.
