Dear Indians Fans:

From its roots to the present, Cleveland Indians Baseball has been distinguished by great ballplayers and great moments. It is through the fortunes of the 1,625 men that have played professionally in Cleveland, and the memories they have created, that the history of Cleveland Indians Baseball is learned, appreciated and celebrated.

What makes Baseball special is the emotional bond between the past and present.

Memories are created in the present, and the 2006 Indians are poised to create memories of their own. It was with clarity of purpose we embarked on rebuilding our baseball team three seasons ago. Through the power of teamwork, strength of conviction in the plan, and a respect for the game, we have realized a 25-game improvement since 2003 (69 wins to 93 victories in 2005).

GM Mark Shapiro and Manager Eric Wedge have identified a core group of young, talented players who will be the cornerstone of our next championship run. They have been provided the resources to secure that core, which is the foundation of our future success.

Whether you choose to visit Progressive Field, listen on the 30-station Indians Radio Network, with WTAM 1100 as the flagship station, watch on SportsTime Ohio, access information via our website at indians.com, or by reading the newspaper coverage, your enjoyment of Indians Baseball is our top priority.

When we speak to Indians Baseball being a total team effort, that includes you! We thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Larry Dolan
President and Chief Executive Officer
