Major League Lunch To help promote good nutrition to elementary students throughout Cleveland Municipal School District, the Indians sponsor an essay-writing contest. The winner will have lunch delivered by two Indians players and will throw out the first pitch at a Tribe home game. |

Grand Slam Literacy
The Indians, along with the Cuyahoga County Public Library, promote the importance of literacy and summer reading by connecting fans with Cleveland Indians players and coaches, as well as Front Office personnel. |

This program provides young aspiring sports journalists a chance to experience serving as a beat reporter covering the Cleveland Indians pre-game, participating in a mock press conference with players. |

Funded by Cleveland Indians Charities and administered by the City of Cleveland Division of Recreation Department, the league is designed to promote the game of baseball with the focus on fundamentals instead of winning. |

Reviving Baseball in the Inner City The Larry Doby RBI program is a summer baseball/softball league that is designed to promote athletic and academic achievements in inner city Cleveland. As part of the program each participant attends life skills sessions that focus on health, social and educational issues. |

Week Long Camps This program provides boys and girls an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball from Indians coaches, alumni and area high school and college coaches. |
