Proceeds benefit Cleveland Indians Charities

The Annual CIC Celebrity Golf Classic continues to be the number one fundraiser for Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC) with over $150,000 raised to benefit the community outreach efforts of Cleveland Indians Charities. Last year's event took place on July 28th at the Quail Hollow Country Club. Golfers spent the day with Indians players, coaches, alumni and broadcasters. Each five-some was paired with a celebrity!

The day included great gifts, prizes, breakfast, lunch, cocktail dinner party, live & silent auction and more. Individual registration, teams of five golfers and sponsorships are available. Call 216-420-HITS for more information or to register.

Cleveland Indians Charities

Established in 1989, Cleveland Indians Charities (CIC) is the self-sustaining charitable arm of the Cleveland Indians that concentrates on creative partnerships with select organizations that focus on youth education and recreation. Since its inception, CIC has donated nearly $9 million to youth-oriented agencies and organizations throughout Northeast Ohio. CIC has established and enhanced its relationships with several of these organizations, with the focus on the following beneficiaries and grant programs for 2012:

Cleveland Metropolitan School District - provide funding for high school baseball and softball programs
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland - provide educational outreach programs
Cleveland Baseball Federation - to grow youth participation in baseball and softball by administering the Larry Doby Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) and Rookie League, free of charge to youth who do not have the financial means to participate otherwise
Majestic Steel Diamond Improvement Grant - assist in league funding, programming and renovation of playing fields
