Camp Overview

Mission
The goal of Indians Youth Baseball camps is to provide youth baseball and softball players in Northeast Ohio with major league quality instruction on the fundamentals of the game, develop leadership skills and positive character traits, and form a lifelong bond with baseball and the Cleveland Indians. The Indians Youth Baseball camp instructors bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and, most importantly, all share a passion for teaching the game of baseball.

Camp Overview
Learn from the pros in a positive, fun environment at a 2015 Indians Youth Baseball Camp!

Led by former major leaguer and Cleveland native Matt Kata, along with qualified, professional staff, Indians camps aim to be the ultimate resource for players, parents and coaches in Northeast Ohio. Whether your child is just getting introduced to the game of baseball or you have been playing for a while, Indians Youth Baseball camps will develop and improve upon the same basic fundamentals that Indians players work on each and every day – hitting, throwing, fielding, and base-running, knowledge and history of the game. The theme throughout the week will be to focus on the process and the things that you can control: Attitude, Concentration, and Effort – A-C-E the day! Your child will develop basic fundamentals – hitting, throwing, fielding and base-running – and knowledge of the game, along with positive character traits they'll use to ace the day!

Camps run from 9AM-3PM each day and are offered for kids ages 6-14. Sign up today and we'll teach your kids the Indians Way to play!

Disciplinary Issues
The Cleveland Indians Youth Baseball Program seeks to engender a safe, fun environment for the development of physical skills, discipline, and respect. Our staff employs methods advocated by the Positive Coaching Alliance and our own Dr. Charlie Maher to create a supportive atmosphere for all campers. Coaches and campers alike must strive for cooperation and communication at all times. Should a camper's behavior threaten to damage our culture or prove to be in any way disruptive, that camper will be subject to dismissal at the discretion of the coaches and counselors. No refund or credit will be granted for dismissal on behavioral grounds.
