Cleveland Indians Peanut Aware Zone at Progressive Field!

The Cleveland Indians Peanut Aware Zone is a peanut allergen reduced controlled section of the ballpark located in the 1997 Suite. The 1997 Suite will be designated a Peanut Aware Zone for select games in 2013. Details on specific game dates will be determined closer to the beginning of the 2013 season.

All fans who participate please review the allergy accommodations:
There is no way to guarantee any part of the ballpark to be completely allergy free. Below is a list of what we will do to minimize the risk at the game. In addition here is how to get to your seats with limited amount of exposure to peanuts.

  • Least peanut-exposed path to the Peanut Aware Zone: Enter Gate C of Progressive Field (near Bob Feller statue) and travel through the main concourse toward the E. 9th Street elevator lobby. Go to 4th floor to then enter Suite 1997.
  • The 1997 Suite will be designated as the Peanut Aware Zone.
  • No peanut vending will be allowed in Suite 1997.
  • The Peanut Aware Zone (Suite 1997) will be deep-cleaned after previous night's game.

Fans should note that peanut-controlled does not mean peanut-free. Progressive Field is an open-air ballpark and peanuts will be present in other areas of the ballpark. While we will make reasonable efforts to post signs restricting peanut products from this section and clean in advance, we cannot guarantee the absence of peanut particles or residue. Fans with peanut allergies should take all precautions that they customarily take in public places.
