Entry Conditions. The CenturyLink Leadership in Education Award ("Promotion") is open to legal residents of Colorado only. Only one (1) entry per person is allowed. Employees, officers, directors and immediate family members of the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Ltd. ("Colorado Rockies"), the other MLB Entities (defined below), and each of their respective affiliates, and any other entities involved in the Promotion are not eligible to enter or win. The "MLB Entities" shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball ("BOC"), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLBAM"), Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., the Major League Baseball Clubs ("Clubs"), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents of the foregoing entities. The Promotion is void outside Colorado and where prohibited or restricted.
Nominees must be of legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside (and at least eighteen (18) years of age). All nominations are confidential.
Entry Method. Entrants (students, parents, faculty members) who are thirteen (13) years of age or older can nominate a teacher ("Teacher Nominee") from any public or private school in the state of Colorado -- Kindergarten through 12th grade -- by writing and submitting an essay ("Entry"). Teachers may not nominate themselves. The Entry must be at least 350 words long but not more than 500 words. Criteria for each entry are as follows (the "Judging Criteria"):
Promotion Period. The Promotion starts May 6, 2013, ends on September 8, 2013, and will be conducted with six (6) Entry Period Deadlines and six (6) Presentation Game Days (which shall occur before an Colorado Rockies home game) as follows:

Non-winning Entries will roll to the following entry period: for example, an Entry submitted before May 6th will have an opportunity to be selected for each of the six (6) Presentation Game Days.
Prizes. Five (5) prizes (each a "Prize") will be awarded to five (5) winners for the months of May, June, July, August, and September (i.e., one (1) Prize winner per month) as follows: $2,000.00 awarded to the school at which the Teacher Nominee is employed at the time the Entry is submitted. Each cash Prize will be awarded on its corresponding Presentation Game Day. Total cash Prize value: $10,000.00. In addition, two (2) lower level tickets for the winning Teacher Nominee, two (2) lower level tickets for the winning school's principal, and two (2) lower level tickets for the Entrant will be awarded to attend the Presentation Game Day. Total ticket Prize value: $70.00 per ticket.

Prize Restrictions: Prizes are not transferable. Sponsor and the Colorado Rockies will have the right to substitute another Prize package of equal or greater value, at their sole discretion. Sponsor and the Colorado Rockies may substitute for a cash prize or goods or services with a value equal to or greater than the estimated retail value of the original Prize. All expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). No transfer or cash redemption of Prize is permitted except at the sole discretion of Sponsor and the Colorado Rockies, who may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable. Limit one (1) Prize per household or family. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost or stolen Prizes. TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE GAME AND LODGING NOT INCLUDED. Winners' companions must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence (and at least eighteen (18) years of age), unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and/or the Colorado Rockies, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of the Prize may govern in the event a legal game, event or exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. Each Winner and his/her guest(s) agree to comply with all applicable ballpark regulations in connection with the Prize. The applicable MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to any Winner and/or his/her guest(s) who engage(s) in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game, event or exhibition. Released Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition tickets awarded as prizes may not be resold or offered for resale. Any such resale may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the game ticket(s).
Prize Selection: A panel of judges made up of representatives from Sponsor and the Colorado Rockies will review all Entries and determine the winning entry for each Entry Period based on the Judging Criteria. All decisions are final.
Notification: Each potential winner will be notified up to one (1) week prior to the corresponding Presentation Game Day. Teacher Nominees or their schools must accept Prize within three (3) days of time of notification (or attempted notification) or the Prize will be forfeited and alternate winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries at Sponsors' discretion. In the event that the alternate winner does not respond or accept, another alternate winner will be selected from among all eligible runner-up entries, if possible. Refusal to agree and execute Sponsor's statement of eligibility and release of liability will also result in disqualification and, at Sponsor's sole discretion and time permitting, cause an alternative winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor will leave tickets at Will Call the day of the Presentation Game Day. The cash Prize will be awarded during the game to the Teacher Nominee and Entrant (if available).
Taxation: Each winner is solely responsible for any and all federal, state, and local income taxes associated with his or her Prize. Sponsors and the MLB Entities are not responsible for and will not pay or in any way compensate winners for taxes associated with winning a Prize. Each winner may be required to provide certain tax related documents to Sponsor before receiving a Prize. If required by law, Sponsor will issue Form 1099-MISC to a winner reporting the taxable retail value of his or her Prize. Each winner should consult his or her tax advisor about the tax implications of winning a Prize.
Waiver of Liability/Publicity Release: By entering, Entrants and Teacher Nominees agree to follow these Official Rules and to indemnify and hold Sponsor, Colorado Rockies, the other MLB Entities, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") harmless against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either: (i) participation in the Promotion; or (ii) the receipt or use of the Prizes. Sponsor, Colorado Rockies, the other MLB Entities, and each of their respective designees, may use, reproduce and publish any and all photographs and videotapes which may be taken immediately before, during or immediately after any Promotion activity, whether such photographs or videotapes are flattering or unflattering, for any purpose whatsoever, without compensation to the participant. All such photographs and videotapes will be the sole and complete property of the Released Parties. By acceptance of a Prize, the Teacher Nominee, Entrant, and School (if applicable) grants to Sponsors and the MLB Entities the right to publicize their name, city and state/province of residence and/or likeness in any medium now or hereafter devised worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
General Conditions: By entering, participants agree: (a) to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters relating to the Promotion; (b) to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, liability or damages arising out of their participation and the acceptance and use of a Prize; (c) to permit Sponsor, Colorado Rockies, the MLB Entities and each of their respective designees to use winner's name, city and/or likeness for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes in all media without additional compensation and any prior review or approval; (d) that under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; and (e) that all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Promotion, or any Prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form class action.
Released Parties are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Promotion-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or for transactions, entries or communications that are processed late or incorrectly or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or human error.
In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the "authorized account holder" of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as a business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor reserve the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and award Prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or termination. Sponsor also reserve the right to disqualify any individual who does not comply with these Official Rules.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION OR UNDERMINE THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR, COLORADO ROCKIES, MLBAM AND/OR THEIR AGENTS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Governing Law. The Promotion is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
