Seo looks for rerun against Padres 05/03/2006 9:18 AM ETBy Ken Gurnick / MLB.com
The Dodgers were an inning away from sweeping the San Diego Padres last Sunday, but the bullpen blew a five-run lead, and things haven't been the same since. The Dodgers dropped both games in Arizona and return home after a 3-5 trip with a three-game losing streak and only one-half game between them and the last-place Padres, who open a two-game set at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night. Jae Seo will attempt to duplicate Friday's victory, when he combined with three relievers on a 3-0 shutout over San Diego. In that game, Seo overcame four walks in the first three innings and retired the last 10 batters he faced. The Dodgers are likely to field a batting order similar to the revamped one that scored eight runs on Tuesday night.
