Greg Olsen's RBI double in the 9th broke a scoreless tie as Steve Avery outdueled Doug Drabek. Braves also shut out the Pirates in Game 7 to win the pennant.

Mets outlast Astros in 16-inning marathon at the Astrodome. Mets score three in top of 16th, Astros answer with two before Jesse Orosco fans Kevin Bass to send Mets to the World Series.

Jack Clark's game-winning HR off Tom Neidenfuer in 9th sends Cards to the World Series.
