Garrett Atkins of the Colorado Rockies, who recorded a .364 batting average with 26 RBI during the month of June, has been voted National League Rookie of the Month.

Atkins led all NL rookies in RBI, hits (39), at bats (107) and doubles (9) for the month. He also finished tied for second with 15 runs scored. He finished the month by collecting at least one hit in eight consecutive games, including a career-high four-hit performance on June 26th, vs. Kansas City.

Other rookies receiving votes included Ryan Church (.368, 4 HR, 13 RBI) of the Washington Nationals; Kelly Johnson (.267, 4 HR, 16 RBI), Ryan Langerhans (.325, 1 HR, 7 RBI) and Wilson Betemit (.325, 3 HR, 8 RBI) of the Atlanta Braves; D.J.
