World Series music video highlights10/25/2007 11:49 AM ET
The Boston Red Sox showed Wednesday night that when you're on a roll nothing can stop you. Of course, it doesn't hurt to start the World Series in a rocking home ballpark with Josh Beckett on the mound. The Sox throttled the Colorado Rockies, 13-1, in Game 1 of the Fall Classic at Fenway Park, and you can relive the highlights right here in this video set to the music of Daughtry's "What I Want."
The Rockies came into the Series as the hottest team in playoff history, having won 21 of their last 22 games and all seven in the postseason, but eight days off might have put them into a deep freeze. At least that's the way it looked when their young lefty ace, Jeff Francis, took a beating at the hands of the smoldering Sox.
Seemingly every man in a Boston uniform had multiple hits, but it didn't really matter the way Beckett threw the ball. The Red Sox right-hander ran his 2007 playoff record to 4-0 by giving up only one run in seven innings while striking out nine.
The World Series continues Thursday night at Fenway, with Sox veteran Curt Schilling taking the hill against hard-throwing Rockies righty Ubaldo Jimenez.
