Arizona's Mark Reynolds, Colorado's Huston Street named the National League co-Players of the Week presented by Bank of America

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Mark Reynolds and Colorado Rockies closer Huston Street have been named National League Co-Players of the Week presented by Bank of America for the period ending June 14th. Last week Reynolds led the National League with a 1.000 slugging percentage and 24 total bases and tied for the N.L. lead with five doubles. The 25-year-old Reynolds hit .417 (10-24) and posted a .462 on-base percentage with three home runs, nine RBI and five runs scored. On June 12th vs. Houston, Mark collected four hits, including a three-run homer and a career-best three doubles, and drove in a career-high-tying five runs. This is Mark's first career weekly honor.

Street recorded five saves in his five chances, throwing 4.2 innings and posting a 1.93 ERA, while striking out eight and allowing one walk and three hits. The 25-year-old Street saved four consecutive games from June 8 through June 11. On June 10 at Milwaukee, Street struck out the side for the third time this season. This marks Huston's first career weekly honor.

Other nominees this past week included Reynolds' D-backs' teammate Dan Haren (1-0, 1.00 ERA, 7 SO); Street's Rockies' teammate Troy Tulowitzki (.421, 3 HR, 5 RBI); Chad Billingsley (2-0, 3.55 ERA, 8 SO) of the Los Angeles Dodgers; San Diego's Kevin Kouzmanoff (.375, 2 HR, 11 RBI); San Francisco's Matt Cain (2-0, 2.93 ERA, 15 SO); Ted Lilly (1-0, 1.26 ERA, 10 SO) of the Cubs; Cincinnati's Johnny Cueto (13.0 IP, 0.69 ERA, 9 SO); Houston's Lance Berkman (.350, 3 HR, 5 RBI); Milwaukee's Casey McGehee (.563, 1 HR, 4 RBI); Pittsburgh's Andrew McCutchen (.323, 2 3B, 3 RBI); Rick Ankiel (.360, 1 HR, 4 RBI) of the Cardinals; Atlanta's Brian McCann (.435, 1 HR, 6 RBI); Florida's Jeremy Hermida (.440, 3 HR, 6 RBI); David Wright (.520, 13 H, 3 SB) of the New York Mets; and Philadelphia's Chase Utley (.370, 3 HR, 5 RBI).

Tourneau, the world's largest watch store, will award Mark Reynolds and Huston Street with a luxury Swiss Timepiece, suitably engraved, in recognition of their accomplishments as the National League Co-Players of the Week presented by Bank of America.
