Country Music Star Jason Aldean to Conduct Special Performance Prior to the State Farm Home Run Derby on July 11th on ESPN

Major League Baseball today announced the musical performance roster for the 2011 All-Star Week events in Phoenix, Arizona, which feature country music star Jason Aldean, Grammy nominated platinum recording artist Jordin Sparks, Grammy award winning singer Michelle Branch, Grammy award winner and coach on NBC's "The Voice" Cee-Lo Green plus five-time MLB All-Star Bernie Williams and Phoenix native and world renowned trumpeter Jesse McGuire.

Jason Aldean will conduct a special on-field performance prior to the State Farm Home Run Derby on July 11th on ESPN beginning at 5:00pm PT (8:00pm ET). Jason is also participating in the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday, July 10th, broadcast on ESPN immediately following the Home Run Derby. Five-time All-Star and Latin Grammy nominee Bernie Williams will perform the National Anthem acoustically with his guitar prior to the Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, which he will also be participating in.

The U.S. National Anthem prior to the Home Run Derby will be performed by Jesse McGuire, an internationally famous trumpeter and favorite Arizona local. McGuire performed the anthem during the Diamondbacks championship run in the 2001 playoffs.

On Tuesday, July 12th, Grammy nominated platinum recording artist Jordin Sparks will sing the U.S. National Anthem prior to the 82nd All-Star Game at Chase Field, which will be broadcast on FOX beginning at 5:00pm PT (8:00pm ET). Later in the game, Grammy award winning singer Michelle Branch will be performing "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch.

Also taking part in All-Star Week festivities is Grammy award winning singer, songwriter and producer and coach on NBC's "The Voice" Cee-Lo Green who will perform at the Major League Baseball Gala taking place at the Phoenix Convention Center.

With more than 5 million records sold and dozens of concert attendance records smashed across the nation, superstar Jason Aldean is carving out his place among the top-tier country artists as he pushes the boundaries of country music with his own unique style and unexpected collaborations. The Georgia native has topped the charts with six number one hits including "Don't You Wanna Stay," "My Kinda Party" and "Big Green Tractor," with the current single "Dirt Road Anthem" plowing up the Top 10. His latest album MY KINDA PARTY set a record as the highest first week debut by a male artist in 4 years, and the now PLATINUM disc is the top selling country album of the year so far.

Jordin Sparks is a Grammy nominated platinum recording artist that broke onto the music scene by winning over America and became, at that time, the youngest-ever winner of American Idol. In the following three years, Jordin has released two albums with her self-titled debut going platinum, and just released a new single this summer I AM WOMAN on 19 Recordings/Jive records. Sparks has won two BET Awards, one American Music Award, one People's Choice Award and has been nominated for two MTV Awards. This past year Jordin also made her Broadway debut starring as Nina Rosario in the Tony-winning musical In The Heights.

Grammy award winning singer, mother and baker Michelle Branch has been one of Arizona's finest exports. Getting back to her pop music roots after her last country music project The Wreckers, Michelle is back with a new pop album titled "West Coast Time" to be released on Reprise Records this September. The first single "Loud Music" is at radio now, and available at all digital retailers.

Grammy winning singer, songwriter and producer Cee-Lo Green has had quite a year. He released his critically acclaimed album The Lady Killer which features the smash singles, "Forget You" and "Bright Lights Bigger City." In addition he was a coach on NBC's hit show "The Voice" and is host of his own show on the Fuse network called "Talking To Strangers."

About the 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game
The 82nd Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 12th in Phoenix and will feature the best of the American League taking on the top players of the National League. Building up to the excitement of the All-Star Game, Major League Baseball will conduct a wide variety of special events and charitable activities for fans both inside and outside of Chase Field. At the ballpark, the events will include Taco Bell All-Star Sunday on Sunday, July 10th featuring the XM All-Star Futures Game and the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, and Gatorade All-Star Workout Day on Monday, July 11th featuring the State Farm Home Run Derby on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Radio. Outside of the ballpark, fans will have an opportunity to experience All-Star Summer through a variety of special events including Major League Baseball All-Star FanFest, the five-day interactive fan festival; and the MLB All-Star Red Carpet Show presented by Chevrolet, a free parade of All-Stars through the streets of Phoenix, which will be broadcast on MLB Network. The Midsummer Classic will be televised nationally on FOX, broadcast on ESPN Radio and will be shown around the world by Major League Baseball International.
