You've heard Celebration and Jungle Boogie by Grammy-nominated funk group Kool & the Gang. But have you heard of Komatsu & the Gang?
Probably not, and you probably never will. But that didn't stop Cardinals outfielder Erik Komatsu from catching a ceremonial first offering from Robert "Kool" Bell before Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Kool & the Gang stopped by Busch before hitting the stage with Van Halen on Sunday night. "Celebration" was played after each Cardinals victory during the 1982 season -- which ended with a World Series victory over the Brewers.
