The Padres ushered in the Dog Days of Summer by hosting what they called, appropriately enough, a Dog Days of Summer promotion Tuesday at Petco Park.
A number of furry friends arrived at the ballpark to enjoy the sultry San Diego weather, including a very special guest. Uggie, the scene-stealing Jack Russell terrier who played sidekick to Jean Dujardin in "The Artist," delivered the ceremonial first pitch to The Friar.
He was allowed to bark this time.
