Dozens of Reds fanatics shared their feelings about Barry Larkin on Sunday, noting his dedication to Cincinnati, leadership in the clubhouse and stellar play as key contributors to his Hall of Fame career.
"I like Barry Larkin because he represented the fans," said one Cincinnati fan. "He represented the Reds, he represented what baseball is all about."
The Reds shortstop spent all 19 seasons in his hometown city, compiling a .295 career average, winning MVP honors in 1995 and helping his team take home a World Series title in 1990.
