The Halo Dog

Sunday, April 14, 2013 11:36 AM

The Angels tweeted this out not too long ago and my goodness. When you look at this, does your heart start beating faster? Because my heart is currently testing my rib cage strength. Butterflies like crazy. Tears in my eyes. Is this what love feels like? I think so, but I can’t be sure because the only love lessons I get are from Ryan Goseling in movies that I won’t admit I watch.

For those who haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying a Halo Dog, it’s a bacon-wrapped hotdog topped with beans, cheese, pico de gallo and an Anaheim chili relish. It was released for the 2010 season, and I’m honestly disappointed that I haven’t had at least 100 of them yet. Anybody who has had one knows how incredible they are. It’s an experience to eat one.

More importantly (but not really; not much is more important than a Halo Dog), I just found out that most of the Cave Dwellers have never had a bacon-wrapped hotdog. Huh? Excuse me? How am I supposed to spend every waking moment with these people if they’ve never had a bacon-wrapped hotdog? Can they be trusted? It’s tough to say, really. I might have to treat them to some bacon-wrapped hotdogs in NYC. Hopefully Halo Dogs will come later, but we have to get the basics out of the way first.
