Most people know the classic phrase regarding mullets, “Business in the front; Party in the back,” but no one knows it more than Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. This past week, the Rockies posted a photo of a young Tulo on their Instagram. In the photo, Tulo sports an outrageous blonde mullet, because it was the style at the time.
Interestingly enough, mullets are not uncommon to baseball. Former Blue Jays third baseman Kelly Gruber, strikeout pitcher Randy Johnson and power hitter John Kruk are a few of the many that sported the oft-maligned hairstyle throughout the past few decades. Presently, Tulo has a much more conservative style. Some mourn the interesting do, while others welcome the change. Guess it gives true meaning to the phrase, “[Hair] today; Gone tomorrow.”
