Sometimes I can be quite the forgetful man. Just ask my girlfriend. Everybody forgets something at one time or another, though. This applied to Chicago White Sox pitcher Hector Santiago on Tuesday night. Santiago simply forgot that he had an at-bat while pitching against the New York Mets. I get it. He's an AL pitcher batting during a game, not something he's used to.
But...this was his second at-bat of the night. Not only that, where was manager Robin Ventura to say, "Hey, dude, you might be up to bat next."? Where was bench coach Harold Baines? Any of his teammates? I think everyone on the team had a case of the "forgets" (if that's a real thing.) In more than one way, it was just one of those nights for the Pale Hose.
