When I met Clint Frazier yesterday, hours before he was drafted fifth overall in the 2013 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians, I recognized him as having a great personality and incredible red hair. But on the field, scouts see him as much more than that.
Frazier has proved why not only the scouts love him but the Georgia fans too, as evident in the above video. In 2013, Frazier hit .485 with 17 home runs and 45 RBIs and after watching replays of his swing, you can realize why he found such success: his bat speed. It's incredible. Frazier has been compared to Mike Trout, and with the skills and support he has found, I think he has the tools to make an impact in the Majors. In fact, I can't wait until he does, so I can say, "I knew him before he was drafted!"
