Kawasaki Plays Catch with Fans

Monday, June 10, 2013 9:40 PM

Derek Lowe, Hyun-Jin Ryu, Gio Gonzalez and Bruce Chen are just a few of the players to play catch with fans before a game this year. And now another name can be added to that list - Munenori Kawasaki! The Toronto Blue Jays shortstop has become a fan favorite since replacing the injured Jose Reyes, and here's yet another reason to root for him.

In the news recently for his incredible post-game and MLB Network interviews, Kawasaki played catch with a group of Blue Jays fans at U.S. Cellular Field before tonight's game. He stood on the foul line throwing to three different fans in a triangle, fielding grounders and making it look easy. Through all of it, both Kawasaki and the fans have a huge smile on their faces, which really is what baseball is all about.
