Jose Bautista Honors Calgary Flood Victims on Ankle Tape

Monday, June 24, 2013 8:39 AM

A few weeks ago, Toronto Blue Jays star outfielder Jose Bautista shared his pre-game ankle taping routine on Vine. In a recent Instagram photo, though, Bautista took it one step further. On his taped ankles, he wrote "Calgary AB" (Alberta). For those that do not know, this part of Canada was recently deeply impacted by devastating floods that have impacted many (too many) individuals. As such, Bautista wanted to keep those impacted on his mind (and on his ankles!) during the game. Also during the same game, the Toronto Blue Jays organization made a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross for flood relief. Here's hoping all of those are safe during this unfortunate situation.
