If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. There’s no better way to end a game than with a 7-2-4-3 triple play. Especially when the tying run was at the plate. It’s the pinnacle. Nothing better. Seriously though, if there’s one thing for certain, it’s that Mud Hen fans got their money’s worth in the final home game of the year.
P.S. If double plays are a pitcher’s best friend, what is a triple play? A Jacuzzi bath after a long day? That’s probably it.
