Yanks and Sox Delayed by Bees

Tuesday, March 18, 2014 4:31 PM

The Red Sox and Yankees ran into an interesting situation this afternoon as they faced off in a highly anticipated Spring Training matchup. With the Red Sox in the field in the bottom of the third, a swarm of bees invaded the outfield, causing players to scatter. Thankfully, Mark Teixeira came prepared with bottles of honey.

This is eerily reminiscent of another bee delay from last season, in Anaheim.
