It's rare to see crazy bounces in MLB games, because the fields are so impeccably manicured. But when you bring the bases into play, anything can happen. With the A's Sonny Gray on the mound, Kyle Seager hit a rocket that ricocheted off the first base bag and fell right into Gray's glove as he ran toward first.
Bounces seem to be going in the defense's favor so far this year. The University of Oregon managed to use a bounce to turn a wild pitch into an out a couple weeks ago.
