Each season, the Astros step to the plate to reward students for their scholastic achievements during the summer months. If kids are spending their time reading, we know they are exploring many wonderful adventures, becoming better citizens, and staying away from trouble. That's why we are excited to work with area-wide registered libraries to reward students with free Astros tickets.

Registration for the 2011 Summer Reading Program is now closed. Each year, the enrollment period is open from mid-March through mid-April. For more information or questions about the Summer Reading program, contact the Astros Community Affairs department at 713-259-8000.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM TICKET REDEMPTION INSTRUCTIONS

Here are the instructions for redeeming your ticket coupon:

REDEEM ONLINE

To order tickets for any of the dates above, click the   link and enter your coupon code. Your coupon code is located on the top right side of your Summer Reading coupon. Please note - Your coupon code is case-sensitive. Processing fees apply.

Step 1:   Click the icon next to the game you wish to attend. Step 2:   Enter the password you received in the box labeled "Enter offer code/password" and press OK. Step 3:   When prompted, select "Show Offer on Map" to see available seats. Step 4:   Use the Interactive Seat Map to see the available highlighted sections and select your seats. Step 5:   Choose your desired seats. *Please note that some options are not available with this special ticket offer.

REDEEM BY MAIL

Mail your completed form and coupon with a $5 check or money order for processing to: Hoston Astros, Summer Reading Tickets, P.O. Box 288, Houston, TX 77001-0288. Be sure to include additional payment if you are ordering upgraded and/or additional tickets. Checks or money orders should be made payable to HABC.

Tickets will be mailed to students beginning thirty (30) days prior to the game date selected. However, all mail orders received in the Houston Astros offices within ten (10) working days of the game date selected will be held at the Texas Avenue Will Call window for pick-up. These orders cannot be mailed due to time constraints, and no further notice will be provided.

REDEEM IN PERSON

Please bring your completed coupon to the Minute Maid Park Box Office. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on non-game day Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. When the Astros are playing a home game, the Box Office remains open until the completion of the game. No processing fees apply.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM GROUND RULES

Eligible Students

• All students in grades kindergarten through the 12th are eligible.
• The eligibility period begins June 1, 2010 and closes on August 31, 2010.
• Qualified students are those that complete the highest level of each participating library's Summer Reading Program during the months of June through August.

Program Reward

• Students are rewarded with a free ticket coupon good for two free View Deck II tickets when they complete the highest level of their library's summer reading program.

Redeeming Tickets

• Ticket coupon forms given to qualifying students are good for pre-selected Summer Reading games and are distributed at participating neighborhood libraries.
• Ticket coupons can be redeemed on-line at www.astros.com (processing fees apply), by mail (processing fees apply) or at the Minute Maid Park Box Office (no processing fees) Monday- Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on non-game day Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. When the Astros play a home game, the Box office remains open until the completion of the game.

How To Register

• Libraries can register for the Summer Reading Program by downloading and completing the Summer Reading Registration Form available during the program registration period.
• Registration for the 2010 Summer Reading program closed on April 2, 2010.
• Only students that participate in a reading program with a library that is registered in the Astros Summer Reading program are eligible for the ticket coupon rewards. Individual student registration is not available.
• Based on the estimate libraries provide, the ticket coupon forms for students will be sent to libraries in mid-May. The supply of ticket coupon forms is limited and when they have all be distributed additional forms will not be available.
