Houston Astros Nate Lucero
Head Athletic Trainer
Nathan Lucero joined the Astros organization in 1994 and was named head athletic trainer in 2010. Prior to his current position, Lucero served the previous two seasons (2007-08) as assistant strength and conditioning coordinator for the Astros Major League club. From 2002-06, he served as the club's minor league strength and conditioning coordinator. Before assuming that role, he spent two seasons as an athletic trainer with Round Rock (2000-01) and earned Texas League Trainer of the Year honors in 2000. Before joining Round Rock, he worked for the GCL Astros (1993-94), Quad Cities (1995-97), Kissimmee (1998), and Jackson (1999).

Lucero is a 1993 graduate of New Mexico State University. He and his wife, Janet, have two daughters, Isabella Feliz and Sophia Rose.
