Paul Ricciarini
Senior Director of Player Personnel
Paul Ricciarini is in his ninth season with the Houston Astros and begins his third season as the senior director of player personnel and scouting after being named to the post on January 13, 2005. He was named director of scouting in June of 2004 after previously serving as the coordinator of professional scouting.

A native of Pittsfield, Mass., Paul spent eight seasons with the New York Mets. His tenure with the Mets included serving as National Crosschecker, special assignment scout and East Region Scouting Supervisor.

Paul began his scouting career with the Cincinnati Reds in 1975. He also worked with the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves before joining the Mets organization .George Bell, Kelly Gruber, Todd Stottlemyre, and Mark Wohlers are among the Major League players Ricciarini has signed or recommended.

Paul and his wife Kathy have three children, Paul Jr., Francis, and Laurie, and seven grandchildren.
