The Kansas City Royals and Royals Charities are committed to being active members of the Kansas City community and region. Created in 2001, Royals Charities strives to support children, education, youth baseball/softball and military in and around the Kansas City area. The foundation accomplishes this mission through financial donations, as well as in-kind support, including memorabilia, tickets and publicity. Under the leadership of the Glass family, Royals Charities has donated more than $7 million since its inception.

Thank you so much to the fans who supported Royals Charities 50/50 Raffle all season long! Royals Charities raised more than $250,000 through the 50/50 Raffle which will go directly to support charities in the Kansas City community and Midwest region. Royals Charities and Fox Sports Kansas City partnered for a special on-air auction, giving viewers the opportunity to bid on unique ballpark experiences or purchase an exclusive Royals ticket packages. The Broadcast Auction was held on Friday, June 7.
Diamond of Dreams: Taking the Field for Royals Charities was held on Thursday, June 20 on the field at Kauffman Stadium. The annual event featured appearances from current and former Royals, a fabulous menu from local restaurants, an exclusive baseball silent auction, live music, and a spectacular fireworks show with proceeds benefiting Royals Charities.
The 2013 event raised more than $160,000 for Royals Charities and The University of Kansas Neonatal Medical Home. The University of Kansas will return as the co-recipient of Diamond of Dreams proceeds in 2014 as well.
On Monday, August 19, fans had the opportunity to play golf with current and former Royals at the annual Royals Celebrity Golf Tournament. The event featured a reception, awards program, and auction. The exciting tournament held at The National Golf Club of Kansas City raised $60,000 for Special Olympics of Metro KC.
Royals Charities, the charitable arm of the Kansas City Royals, proudly supports local non-profit and charitable organizations that focus on children, education and neighborhoods. Royals Charities distributes grants twice a year during a Spring and Fall grant cycle.Learn More
The grand walkway at Homeplate Gate C features moments in Royals history surrounded by personal messages from fans all over the country. Fans who ordered Legacy Bricks have secured their place in Royals history! A portion of the proceeds from the Royals Legacy Brick Program supports Royals Charities, benefiting children, education, and neighborhoods in need. The program has ended as of January 28, and bricks are no longer available for purchase.
Created in 2006, the Royalty Fields grant program is an ongoing Royals Charities effort that strives to improve baseball and softball facilities across the Midwest. Baseball and softball programs in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas or South Dakota can apply for a Royalty Fields matching grant of up to $5,000 for major renovations.Learn More
On Saturday, September 21, Royals Charities hosted "Shirts Off Their Backs," presented by Mission Foods, giving fans the opportunity to win an autographed jersey from a Royals player! All proceeds benefited Variety - the Childrenâs Charity of Greater Kansas City.
Royals Charities once again teamed up with 99.7 THE POINT and The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation to host a T.A.K.E. Defense self-defense class on the field at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, September 14. The class was free and open to all females ages 12 and older. T.A.K.E. celebrated its 50,000th participant during the 2013 class!
