January 26-28 - Royals FanFest

Royals FanFest, presented by Commerce Bank, is the official launch of the new season! The event features current and former players, club personalities, interactive games for kids and roundtable discussions.

Tuesday, February 21 - Black History Month School Visit

As part of Black History Month celebrations, the Kansas City Royals visited 2nd grade students at Cordill-Mason Elementary in Blue Springs, Mo. Royals Hall of Fame First Baseman John Mayberry, KayCee and the Royals victory "W," will speak on the importance of Jackie Robinson, the Kansas City Monarchs, Buck O'Neil and other pioneers in baseball.

Wednesday, March 1 - Royals Charities Grant Deadline

Area non-profit organizations can submit applications to receive grant funding from Royals Charities. For more information, visit royals.com/grants.

Thursday, March 2 - Baseball Fantasy Camp for Kids - Surprise, AZ

For the first time ever, the Royals hosted approximately 40 children with special needs for a clinic at Dream Catcher Park, located across the street from the Spring Training stadium. Each child will received a personalized jersey and take part in a clinic with stations led by current Royals players. The Royals have previously hosted this same clinic in Kansas City for the past three years.

Monday, April 10 - Greater Kansas City Day

On the Monday morning on Opening Day, the Royals team up with more than 1,200 volunteers to sell a special Royals edition of the Kansas City Star throughout the city. Proceeds from the sales help send kids to Rotary Youth Camp and other deserving children's charities.

Thursday, April 13 - Autism Awareness Night

Throughout the evening, the Royals will highlight new initiatives at the stadium to provide a more inclusive environment, including Quiet Zones and Exceptional Concession Stands. Eight Quiet Zones have been designated throughout the stadium in areas that are generally quieter than other areas to allow guests to have a break from overstimulation and sensory overload.

Saturday, April 15 - Jackie Robinson Day

April 15, 1942 Jackie Robinson broke baseball's color barrier with his historic MLB debut. Every year on April 15th, our game honors Jackie's legacy by celebrating his life, values and accomplishments. All 30 MLB clubs wear the number "42" as a powerful, unified tribute to the Jackie Robinson legacy.

Saturday, April 15 - Glove Event

During Royals batting practice, 500 metro area baseball and softball players received their first new glove in honor of Jackie Robinson Day.

Monday, April 17 - Royals Charities Golf Tournament

Royals Charities hosted the tenth annual Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe, Kan. Current players, alumni, broadcasters and other Royals celebrities took part in the event. Price Chopper and Sprint along with other sponsors help make this a sold-out tournament, and all proceeds benefit Special Olympics KC Metro.

Wednesday, April 19 - Dream Factory

Throughout the season, the Royals grant the wishes of Dream Factory children. These youngsters, who face life-altering challenges, will meet Royals players, watch batting practice from the dugout and enjoy the game and refreshments. Their Royals experience appears on the KMBC-TV (Channel 9) 10 p.m. newscast.

Friday, April 28 - Moose Lodge

Third baseman Mike Moustakas, together with the Royals and KCP&L, will host foster care children and their families in the Moose Lodge. Each child from Foster Adopt Connect will receive complimentary tickets, a "Moose Lodge" t-shirt and a free meal courtesy of ARAMARK and Papa John's Pizza. The special guests will also participate in a meet-and-greet with Moustakas before the game.

Saturday, April 29 - Noah's Crown Town 5K

Gold Glove first baseman Eric Hosmer and pitcher Danny Duffy appeared at the second annual Noah's Crown Town 5K. Proceeds benefit Noah's Bandage Project.

Saturday, April 29 - Alex Gordon Classic

The 3rd Annual Alex Gordon Classic presented by Price Chopper to benefit the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Starting at 11 a.m., Gordon spoke to the 200 teams from across the Midwest who participate in the tournament, then meet the top two teams who raised the most money for the foundation leading up to the event. Later that night, the top two fundraising teams watched Royals batting practice and will be on-field before the game with Papa John's Pizza, who will presented a check to the foundation.

Wednesday, May 17 - Royals Charities Broadcast Auction

Royals Charities and FOX Sports Kansas City partnered for the eighth-annual Broadcast Auction. The special on-air auction takes place throughout the television broadcast when the Royals host the Chicago White Sox. Viewers have the opportunity to bid on several unique ballpark experiences with players and purchase special ticket packages. For more information, visit royals.com/broadcastauction.
