This initiative pays tribute to Clemente's lasting legacy and recognizes players who best represent the game of baseball through sportsmanship, community involvement and positive contributions, both on and off the field. Local club nominees for the Roberto Clemente Award presented by Chevrolet are recognized in pregame ceremonies.

Following the game, winners will be escorted to the field where they will receive a game-worn jersey directly from one of the Royals.
