The auction, which runs from the time the gates open until the end of the sixth inning, is located outside the Royals Hall of Fame. Proceeds benefit Royals Charities and the MLBPAA to help offer free youth baseball clinics for kids.

Wednesday, June 13 - Broadcast Auction

Royals Charities and Fox Sports Kansas City partner for a special on-air auction, giving viewers the opportunity to bid on unique ballpark experiences or purchase an exclusive Royals ticket package. The auction begins during the Hy-Vee Royals LIVE pre-game show and continues throughout the telecast.

More than 6,000 area elementary school children who achieve perfect attendance throughout the academic school year are honored at one of two Perfect Attendance Days (also July 16). The Royals salute these dedicated students with complimentary tickets.

As part of the All-Star Game festivities, the third All-Star Game Charity 5K & Fun Run presented by Nike will take place in downtown Kansas City! Major League Baseball will donate all net proceeds from the event to three charities supporting cancer research and awareness – Prostate Cancer Foundation, Stand Up To Cancer and the Greater Kansas City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The Royals and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum pay tribute to Kansas City's rich baseball tradition with this annual salute, which includes a pregame tailgate party to benefit the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Former Negro Leagues players will be recognized during pregame ceremonies. On the field, both the Royals and Twins will don Negro League uniforms.

In honor of Hall of Fame legend Roberto Clemente – who died on New Year's Eve 1972 during a humanitarian mission to assist earthquake victims in Nicaragua – Major League Baseball and all 30 Clubs annually commemorate Roberto Clemente Day. This initiative pays tribute to Clemente's lasting legacy and recognizes players who best represent the game of baseball through sportsmanship, community involvement and positive contributions, both on and off the field. Local club nominees for the Roberto Clemente Award presented by Chevrolet are recognized in pregame ceremonies.

Following the game, winners will be escorted to the field where they will receive a game-worn jersey directly from one of the Royals. Fans also have an opportunity to bid on one of the spots and secure their place on the field. Proceeds benefit Royals Charities and a local Kansas City charity.

Royals Charities is once again teaming with The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation to host a T.A.K.E. Defense self-defense class on the field at Kauffman Stadium. The class is free of charge and open to females ages 12 and older. Participants must pre-register and those under the age of 18 will also need a signature from a parent or guardian to participate.
