1976 ALCS vs. New York Yankees

The Royals and Yankees staged one of the most thrilling confrontations since the American League Championship Series was initiated in 1969. Down two games to one, the Royals pressed the series to the decisive final game by capturing a 7-4 victory in Game 4. New York finally edged Kansas City on Chris Chambliss' climactic home run to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 5 in Yankee Stadium and put a sudden end to the hard-fought matchup.
