The Royals Radio Network, one of the largest in Major League Baseball, will broadcast all of the Kansas City Royals regular season games in 2009. The network will also broadcast a 20-game Spring Training schedule. All games will be heard on the Royals Kansas City affiliate, 610 Sports-KCSP. 610 Sports' sister station, 980 News Radio KMBZ will broadcast all Sunday regular season games. The Royals and 610 Sports entered into a new five-year agreement prior to the 2008 season.

The Royals Radio Network is made up of 96 affiliates throughout the Midwest in eight states. Royals Hall of Famer and 2007 Ford C. Frick Award winner Denny Matthews and Bob Davis will be behind the microphone for their 41st and 13th seasons, respectively. Davis is in his second season in the radio booth after spending his first 11 seasons primarily on Royals television. Steve Stewart joins Denny and Bob in the booth for his second season with the club.
