Chris DeRuyscher, Director-Event Presentation & Production

Chris DeRuyscher is the Director of Event Presentation and Production and begins his 13th season with the Royals. His responsibilities include game day producing, overseeing production elements, and staffing for Major League Baseball's largest high definition video board, CrownVision.

He is currently the 1st Vice President of the national I.D.E.A Organization and was Host City Chairman for the first ever I.D.E.A. Conference held in Kansas City in 2011. At the conference CrownVison was awarded Golden Matrix Awards for Best Production In Major League Baseball, Best Production In Professional Sports, and Best Show Open. DeRuyscher also received the President's Award. At the 2012 conference CrownVision was awarded it's second straight Best Show Open.

Before joining the Royals, he worked at HuskerVision for 4 years at the University of Nebraska, where he received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. His sports background also includes summer internships with FOX 4 Sports, Kansas City, in 1998 and with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1999.

DeRuyscher was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and graduated from Immaculata High School in Leavenworth, Kansas. He and his wife, Paige, reside in Fairway, Kan., with their daughter, Josephine, and son, Jalen.
