Dr. Andrew Jacobs, Team Psychologist

Dr. Andrew Jacobs rejoined the Royals in 2008. Dr. Jacobs, who also worked for the Royals during the 1990 season, has nearly 30 years of sports psychology experience. In addition to his work with the Royals, Jacobs has worked for the University of Kansas, the U.S. Cycling team, the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Comets of the MISL. He has also served as a consultant with Reebok as well as numerous national organizations in swimming, golf and tennis and hosts a weekly radio show in Kansas City.

Jacobs, a Kansas City native, received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology: San Diego. He currently resides in Leawood, Kan., and has two sons, Jonathan and Gregory.
