Philanthropy and Service

During the Inaugural Season at Marlins Park, the Marlins Foundation made a pledge to partner with nonprofit organizations to serve South Florida's youth through unique programming. The Foundation demonstrates this commitment by selecting four organizations every season to become Marlins Charity Partners. Through the Marlins Charity Partner Empowerment Fund, funded primarily by players, each nonprofit organization is awarded a $25,000 contribution, as well as unique experiences and offerings at Marlins Park. Through Marlins Charity Partners, the team makes a deep and focused impact with South Florida youth through education, the arts and baseball. This values-driven program is a signature example of the team's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and civic engagement.

Their mission: To establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Special Olympics Florida - Miami-Dade County

Their mission: Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons 8 years of age and older with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, giving them, continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, talents and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.

Their mission: After-School All-Stars provides comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them achieve in school and life. After-School All-Stars gives students a safe-haven during the "danger zone" hours.
