Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier won Major League Baseball's 2009 Clutch Performer of the Year Award. He led the Major Leagues with six walk-off hits, including a big league-best four walk-off homers, which tied the MLB record for the most in a season.
Twins Jason Kubel and Delmon Young each had three homers and 12 RBIs to share the Player of the Week award.
Reds right-hander Homer Bailey went 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA, four walks and 14 strikeouts over 13 innings during the week ending Oct. 4.
Angels first baseman Kendry Morales batted .385 with 10 homers, 33 RBIs and an MLB-best .734 SLG in August.

Thirty club nominees, including 13 All-Stars, were nominated for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award in 2009. Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter won the award, which is given annually to the player who combines giving back to the community with outstanding on-field skills.
Fresh off one of the finest regular seasons of his illustrious career, Yankees closer Mariano Rivera won the fifth annual Delivery Man of the Year Award, the third time he's received the honor. Rivera saved 44 games in 46 chances with a 1.76 ERA and fanned 72 batters in 66 1/3 innings, while walking just 12.
Jays second baseman Aaron Hill recovered from a serious concussion in '08 to hit .286 with 36 home runs, 37 doubles and 108 RBIs.
After two consecutive injury-plagued years, Cards ace Chris Carpenter regained his elite status in '09, going 17-4 with a 2.24 ERA, and pacing the NL in winning percentage and ERA.
