Since his arrival in Los Angeles, Milton has unquestionably been the Dodgers' most active member in the community, giving his own time and money to various community programs. Milton has generously donated his time, money, tickets and talent to youth in several underserved communities. Some of the organizations he works with include the Dodgers Dream Foundation, Children's Hospital LA, RBI - Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities, Long Beach Boys and Girls Club, Lindbergh Middle School, Long Beach Police Athletic League, LAPD Youth Athletic Program, LA City Recs and Park - Baldwin Park Recreation Center, Long Beach Recreations and Parks - California Park and Martin Luther King Park, Red Cross, and Christ Second Baptist Church in Long Beach.
In addition to the numerous events he has attended on behalf of the Dodgers and their charitable arm, the Dodgers Dream Foundation, Milton has gotten involved in several community-based programs on his own, most notably the opening of two local baseball academies that bear his name in Long Beach and Baldwin Hills. He has paid for youngsters to attend games at Dodger Stadium and has taken part in a number of local school visits, hospital visits, youth clinics and the Dodger Caravan.
