Participant-Parent/Guardian Registration for the

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM Record Attempt Largest Game of Catch

Registration for this event is now closed.

Major League Baseball, the Cincinnati Reds, Chevrolet and Guinness World RecordsTM are joining together to attempt to set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM title for the Largest Game of Catch during All-Star Week in Cincinnati. The event, which will be presented by Chevrolet, will be held at the P&G Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy on Thursday, July 9th at 6:00 pm ET. The new All-Star event is part of MLB's focus on engaging young people with the game of baseball.

This event is open to the general public, with only those ages 8-18 on the day of the event who have previously registered using this form eligible to participate in the record-setting attempt. Overflow parking will be available at Cincinnati Gardens and Midpoint Crossing, and shuttles will be provided to and from those parking areas. Participants will receive a t-shirt, baseball and snacks, but space and quantities are limited, so register today and show up early on July 9th.

Immediately following the record-setting attempt, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation will conduct a youth instructional clinic. The program will consist of baseball and softball drills led by the Foundation staff.

To register, you must
1.  Complete this online registration form for each child you wish to register (you can register yourself if you are already 18)
2.  Print and sign a separate waiver for each child you are registering (you can sign for yourself if you are 18)
3.  Bring your signed waiver and your baseball / softball mitt on July 9th


1.  Participants will be arranged in pairs, standing approximately 10 ft apart.
2.  Participants should bring their own baseball or softball mitt if they own one.
3.  Participant holding the ball must throw it to their partner, who must then return the throw.
4.  Play must continue for a minimum of 5 minutes.
5.  If a throw is missed, participants are allowed to pick up/chase the ball and continue play
