Comments: The presumed No. 1 pick from the start of the year, the big left-hander has done nothing to diminish his standing in that position. As Vanderbilt's Friday night starter, he has dominated throughout the season with a plus fastball, an outstanding slider and an above-average changeup. Comments: Poreda is one of those pitchers who is new to being good. Players who come out of nowhere like he has (with the jump in velocity, especially) have to get used to being dominant. Once he grows accustomed to that, his poise should improve by leaps and bounds. Comments: Payne is the kind of athlete who gets dubbed as a "real baseball player." It's a compliment for a guy who has good instincts, is hard-nosed and generally plays above his tools. Payne can hit, but not for power and while he knows how to get on base, he's not the prototypical leadoff hitter because he's got just average speed. To be an everyday player, he's going to have to stick in center field and keep making consistent contact while getting on base. Enhanced Scouting Report

Comments: Patterson is a kind of all-or-nothing, hit-or-miss kind of guy. When he can get his arms extended, he's got tremendous power. But he also has some holes in his swing and sometimes tries to work counts too much at the plate, leaving some concerned about his overall hittability. He'll never be drafted for his glove. If he hits for power, he could be a star in the future. He does have a very strong commitment to Auburn and is considered a tough sign. Enhanced Scouting Report
