64Payne, DanielGeorgia TechCFL/L5'10"1851985-09-08JR400K
Comments: Payne is the kind of athlete who gets dubbed as a "real baseball player." It's a compliment for a guy who has good instincts, is hard-nosed and generally plays above his tools. Payne can hit, but not for power and while he knows how to get on base, he's not the prototypical leadoff hitter because he's got just average speed. To be an everyday player, he's going to have to stick in center field and keep making consistent contact while getting on base.

1Price, DavidVanderbilt ULHPL/L6'06"2151985-08-26JR400K
Comments: The presumed No. 1 pick from the start of the year, the big left-hander has done nothing to diminish his standing in that position. As Vanderbilt's Friday night starter, he has dominated throughout the season with a plus fastball, an outstanding slider and an above-average changeup. His makeup, both on and off the field, is just as impressive as his stuff.
