Pedro Alvarez missed a chunk of the season because of a broken bone in his right hand. The junior third baseman, who hit .359 with 40 home runs in his first two college seasons, has been slow to regain his power, but it remains to be seen if it impacts his Draft position. It still seems possible that he could go to the Rays, which would make him the second straight No. 1 overall Draft pick from Vanderbilt. Full story >

There was little suspense but plenty of theatrics at The Milk House at Disney's Wide World of Sports as Tampa Bay prepared to make the first televised pick in Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft.
