111Carroll, SwainU KentuckyRFL/R6'04"2151986-05-09SR400K
Comments: Carroll turned down an offer a year ago to sign with the Nationals as an 18th-round pick to return to Kentucky. The Wildcats must be happy as the senior was among the Division I leaders in hitting for much of the year and has dramatically improved his power output. Scouts do not think, however, that the power will translate to the pro game, and the fact that Carroll will be limited to left field, at best, does cap his Draft status somewhat. Still, he's bound to enhance his round by a good margin this June.

135Kipnis, JasonArizona St UCFL/R5'10"1751987-04-03JR400K
Comments: A sophomore eligible outfielder who transferred from Kentucky after being dismissed from that team for rules violations, Kipnis will get plenty of looks thanks to ASU's star-studded roster. If he can prove he can handle playing center and runs well, that will increase his stats. Otherwise, he may be viewed more as a fourth-outfielder type.
