20Jenkins, StephenKennesaw St URHPR/R6'04"2351987-12-22JR
Comments: Over the course of his junior season, Jenkins caught up to, then passed up teammate Kyle Heckathorn on Draft boards. With a terrific three-pitch mix and a good idea of how to pitch, Jenkins looks like a durable workhorse who will fit nicely into a big-league rotation in the not-too-distant future. He comes from a small school and doesn't have a long track record of success, but that shouldn't keep him from going off the board in the first round.

99Barrett, JakeDesert Ridge HS (AZ)RHPR/R6'04"2301991-07-22HS
Comments: Perhaps the top high school player in Arizona this year, Barrett is a big, strong right-hander who's only 17 but can touch 94 mph with the fastball. Add in a power curve and a splitter and he's got an interesting, if unusual, three-pitch mix. His command has improved over the course of the season. His mechanics might need some work as there's a little effort with his delivery, but young power arms who can actually locate a fastball aren't all that common, so Barrett could find himself a pretty good commodity in June.
